Niche Marketing Strategy For Internet Beginners

Why Niche marketing? The primary reason for pursuing "niche marketing" is diversity. As an online marketer, you never want to put all your eggs in one basket. Mabye you're deeply involved in the 'Make Money online" information product niche right now, but what would happen if suddenly that market went away? How would that impact your business. With niche marketing, you always have multiple sources of income. Some niches may do better than others, but that's the case with all marketing campaigns. Your goal is to continue to expand your footprint into new markets (niches) all the time. This way your income is not soley dependent on any one source. A niche marketing strategy will help you in the process of identifying a profitable segment within an existing profitable market. By segmenting the market, you can concentrate your efforts on highly targeted traffic and profitable money makers. For example, dog training is a profitable market, but it is too broad to compete in, especially if you are new. However, if you chose Jack Russell Terrier training, you would have a better chance of profiting, as you are targeting a specific breed of dog and their owners interested in training them. These profit centers can be digital products (such as sold through Clickbank Marketplace) or physical products (sold through Amazon.com or Commission Junction). Begin the process by performing market research. This is where the vast majority of new Internet marketers fail. The battle is won or lost by the marketer who does the best research and identifies true money makers by insuring that the niche is indeed profitable. How To Begin Here is a simple formula that is a good place to start. Ask yourself this question: What are people in desperate need of and are willing to pay for. The key to making money quickly online is to identify desperate buyers. They have problems that need immediate solutions, and will pay nearly anything to get them. All you have to do is position yourself in front of this traffic. Here are some typical markets that have desperate buyers: * Weight loss * Skin care * Teeth Whitening * Stop Smoking * Market Research Market research can be divided into two categories: Offline Research and online Research. There are 3 steps to Offline Research. * Are there books published related to your topic? * Are there monthly magazines about your topic? * Do you hear people of friends or the news talking about your topic? These are easy sources to tap into for your offline research. Barnes & Noble Books is one of my favorites places to research. You can actually do your research there over a cup of coffee. They actually let you read the books! And, you can see what people are buzzing about by just watching the books they are checking out. Online Research The final phase of your research is online. This is the most important part to determine the success rate of a niche market before starting to market in it. There are 5 steps to complete the process before you launch out and start marketing. Even if your offline research does not look promising, if you determine that there is a viable and profitable online market, you can still move forward; albeit cautiously.
